It's been a busy year for the Edumate team! We've released a bunch of new features, expanded our team and are looking forward to an equally massive 2023!
Thank you to everyone for being a part of our journey this year, check out our recap below to see what we got up to.
We introduced an exciting new way to create, track and review Individual Learning Plans (ILP) for students who require adjustments to the 'standard' learning environment.
With support for evidence, adjustments, collaborations, workflow processes, and extensive note/attachment capabilities, the new features provide a centralised, accessible way for multiple staff to collaborate on each ILP record.
This year we refreshed the Student Profile page with a new look to the Student Info section, offering a better user experience that scales with variable window sizes. We also added the new Learning Needs widget, making it easier for teaching and learning staff to see a quick-view summary of relevant Learning Needs information.
The API Tool was developed to make it easier for schools to use Edumate APIs without the need for programming expertise or coding skills. The tool allows you to securely view, import, and process data in bulk.
Phase Two, launched as part of the July 2022 release, allows you to trigger a data export using one of the available GET APIs. The resulting CSV file can then be used by your school or imported directly into a third-party system.
With the complete tool, schools can safely leverage two-way data transfer between Edumate and any third-party system that supports CSV files.
Part of a massive Events update project, this year we released the new Event Permission Reminders to schools using the Edumate mobile app. This allows schools to easily remind any parents who haven't yet given permission to attend the event, reducing the admin time needed for schools to follow up with each parent - and reducing the last-minute scramble for students and parents who have forgotten or missed event deadlines.
Continued work on the Edumate Events project is going to bring a series of enhancements that make it even easier to manage events and communicate with the relevant members of your school community.
We've also got some exciting plans around the use of Learning Analytics tools alongside your Edumate system, with our sister-company TrackOne Studio.
Keep an eye out for even more updates as we continue to deliver new features and improve the day-to-day experience in Edumate. We can't wait to share what we've got planned!
Please note our office will be closing at 12pm AEDT on the 23rd December, and reopening at 8:30am AEDT on the 3rd January.
